i know they're laughably different, but i can't help it. they both cheer me up like no other. i'd never heard the first one until a few days ago on the radio, and tommy introduced me to the doobie brothers a few years ago but i come back to them occasionally and love them even more. how can you NOT? come on.

My favorite part is the beginning of the "I'm only gonna break your heart" video, how it says "Give me my heart back... you don't deserve it." I mean, what?
the doobie brothers?!! no way. okay, you MUST crank up "long train running" -- then imagine mac playing it on the guitar and me singing. mac is so good. me? not so much.
