Our one week in Texas in December

We were only home for about ten days in between our two trips in December. It was a little crazy but we actually felt pretty relaxed about being at home in this short amount of time. It was kind of nice because we got so much of our Christmas prep done before we went to Ecuador (because I was worried about it) and so we didn't have much going on other than regular life, other than the day before we left for Utah when I was just running around packing. 

We got back from Ecuador at 6am on a Saturday morning after our overnight flight and our ward Christmas party was that night. I didn't think we would go because the kids were going to be exhausted, but I had to go conduct the music because the Primary was singing. It turned out that the kids all napped in the afternoon and were fine, so we ended up going to the party after all. Lucy looked ADORABLE in her little Santa outfit. Major heart eyes!

The Primary did a Nativity scene. All of the Junior Primary kids were sheep. Haha.

The main reason we wanted to go to the party was so that our kids could see Santa. We weren't going to see him anywhere else so we made it work. Graham was thrilled and gave Santa a huge hug, and Dane kind of got in trouble for pushing right before we got to Santa and got mad and ran away and refused to see him until we were already done. 

Lucy was definitely not sure.

We decorated our gingerbread house one Sunday night.

The boys were really serious about it...

But so were Tommy and Kurt.

Graham really loved our Christmas lights that we had up. He would run to check every night if they'd turned on.

We went and delivered Christmas cards to people in a nursing home as a little service project. We also visited a member of our ward who was temporarily staying there.
