a few weeks ago, tommy and i wanted to watch grease. so we went and got a membership at hollywood video. and i stumbled across the "classics" corner... and found it!
so far we've watched these movies, and they were all excellent.

does anybody have any suggestions for other good, old movies that we could rent at hollywood video? this is like a whole new world opening up to me that i never even knew existed. i know that next on my list is the alfred hitchcock movie rear window, and charade, with audrey hepburn.
but of course, those come AFTER seeing HP6.

My favorite old movie is VERTIGO... it is an old alfred HItchcock... watch one old hitchcock and you will be addicted!!!!
A favorite place to look is ricksteves.com (this will tell you some movies about Europe, both fiction and nonfiction) and netflix.com and look around. Old movies are awesome. Dad and I loved "Agony and the Ecstacy" about Michaelangelo before we went to Italy. Old movies are awesome.
If you really want to watch some of the greats, Rocky I, II, III, IV, and V is the place to start. After that, try out Three Amigos and you'll be on your way...

I'm a classics/ b&w movie junky!! I LOVE Grace Kelly movies, Hitchcock movies, Cary Grant movies, and Katherine Hepburn movies the most.... but there are soooo many wonderful old movies out there. You also have to watch Audrey Hepburn movies too. But here are some other ones that aren't attached to any of those people that I adore: Gigi, How To Marry a Millionaire, Three Coins in a Fountain, Christmas in Connecticut, Pocket full of Miracles, Top Hat, White Christmas, Holiday Inn, An American in Paris, Ocean's 11 (the Rat Pack version), On the Town, Gilda, Yours Mine and Ours (Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda), Barefoot in the Park, and Out of Africa!
