(when i was in high school we were supposed to read great expectations and i only read the sparknotes. that was the only time i ever did that. well, and huck finn . . . another literary classic i've heretofore avoided.)
this is that one dickens book that i've ever read:
it's my second-favorite book.
and it always makes me cry.
i'm re-reading it again, and i can't wait to finish it this time through.

when i see it i always think of nathan though; he really liked it.
Good one! You ought to try David Copperfield! It is a great one that is often overshadowed.
That's okay. I only disrespect English majors who've never read Shakespeare. :)
